ICF Chennai has ambitious hopes for a world where coaching is integral and is involved in helping it prosper.
In consonance with the Vision, Values & Mission of ICF Global, the focus of Corporate Engagement & Partnerships at ICF Chennai is spreading awareness of coaching and garnering acceptance for it in Corporate entities, Professional associations & Membership organizations. It is our aspiration that the ICF Way of coaching is well received and customers derive value from the same.
ICF Chennai Chapter prides itself in its Community Service Initiatives via partnerships with not-for profits and organizations that are committed to social progress. We are passionate about our Coaching awareness building efforts in this sector. We achieve this through our IGNITE Initiative where we offer pro bono coaching programs to their leaders with our Chapter coaches. We have successfully run this for the last three year and have partnered with organizations ike Teach for India, Ramakrishna Mission, PCVC, Nalanda Foundation etc., and coached their operational leaders. We take inspiration from the ICF Foundation whose mission is to connect and equip professional coaches and organizations to accelerate and amplify impact on social progress through coaching. Youth Partnerships
Through our Youth Partnership Initiatives, we strive to support young leaders of the future, through professional coaching. Coaches from our Chapter partner with students (typically 18 – 22 years of age) and offer pro bono coaching at no cost in the areas of Life & Career Coaching. It is run as a short-duration coaching program of 2 months comprising 3-4 sessions. We have successfully partnered students from IIT Madras & NIT Trichy as below:
As part of its Life-skills Program IIT Madras had sought partnership with ICF Chennai Charter Chapter in coaching 115 students of Pre-Final & Final Year B Tech and MBA students across disciplines. This Youth Partnership initiative during September to December 2020 was very well supported by our Coaches to work with the students providing 3 to 4 sessions of pro-bono coaching in the areas of Life & Career Coaching with great feedback from the students and IIT Madras faculty.
Our most recent partnership was with NIT Trichy in coaching 10 students during April – May 2021. Our coaching journey continues in supporting our future…..more power to our Youth!

Partnership in ICF SEA Research Survey – April 2020 – Mar 2021
ICF Chennai Chapter had partnered with ICF Singapore to launch and distribute the pioneering Research Survey to Study Trends in Interventions for Organisational Development (OD) – first of a kind done worldwide! All our members were engaged to support the distribution of this survey with corporate audiences, leadership and decision makers. There were webinars held for our members to understand the impact of their survey and their role in outreach of the same.
We had also led the initiative to establish a national partnership with India’s largest Association for HR professionals – NHRDN to enlist their support in reaching this survey to many organizational HR decision makers. Our efforts allowed India to contribute over 200 responses to the survey which was valuable to the SEA team. We also extended our support to the Survey findings launch event that was held in December 2020. Further, we partnered in the series of Experience Coaching events that were organised by ICF Singapore in February & March 2021
